This is a classy Burgundy that is built for food service yet has enough character to enjoy alone. The nose is a focused medley of red raspberry, red boysenberry, dry red rose, coriander seed, baking spice, rattan and dark earth scents. It is medium-bodied, with a sleek texture and zesty-minerally counterpoints that frame-in fruit flavors which include raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry cobbler and red plum gallette. The finish is firm, food-balanced and lingering, and the wine - already a pleasure - should improve for another year or two. 500 cases produced.
