This Cabernet shows fine fruit, lively energy, ripeness, elegance and focus. In the nose, dark red cherry, red current, black raspberry, clove, cedar and baking spice scents counterpoint harder mineral undercurrents to create an identifiably Oakville personality. Textbook Oakville grip and minerality join focused, piquant, ripe fruit on the palate where they firm the texture through a very long, sweet natured, supple finish. Ending with a push of cherry and mixed berry flavors, this is a gorgeous wine already, one that will show its best with fatty beef roasts and the like. Despite its current attractiveness it is likely four years or so from its full expression. Fruit sourced from the Fortuna Vineyard. 135 Cases Produced.
