Extremely ripe and notably forthcoming, the aromas of this textbook Paloma Merlot are almost heady in their richness. The nose serves up a focused array of blackberry, Cherry Bounce, dark plum, blueberry compote, black currant, bitter chocolate, toffee, licorice root, baking spice, truffle, and briar scents. It is downright plush on the palate, where bitter chocolate, licorice root, briar, graphite and forest earth spice notes support lavish flavors that parallel the aromas and carry through a lingering finish where bitter chocolate and truffle notes become more evident.
