This Zin is deep, seductive and exotic to the nose, where a lavish yet harmonious medley of focused aromas unfolds. These include scents of dark Italian bottled cherry, black current, black pepper, licorice, pomegranate molasses, purple plum compote, coriander seed, toffee, coffee bean and forest floor spice. It is rich in body yet lively, a bit youthfully tannic and piquantly fruity in the mouth, and these characteristics carry through a deep and lingering finish that delivers every note the aromas promised. Gorgeous at opening and more so with airing, it is already delicious and should prove more so in another three years and through the decade that follows. From 134 year old vines. 125 cases produced.
