This vivid bottling delivers the piquant zest and sparkling fruit one hopes for in a fine young Barbera. The aromas are a forthcoming mix of pomegranate, cranberry, black raspberry,  rhubarb and pink peppercorn, with undercurrents of grain and a hint of dried herbs. It is as zesty as expected and shows a suggestion of tannin on the palate, where a dash of Campari joins the flavors promised in the nose. The finish is bright and lingering, with a hint of celery seed at the end. It is built for food service and should grow rounder and fuller over the next year. 695 cases produced.
