NVWE Notes: This rich Chardonnay is notable for the internal tension that keeps it’s very rich fruit in check. The wines fruit-dominated aromas are a mix of white peach, baked apple, gooseberry, quince, lemon zest, lime oil, mock orange blossom, white rose and white pepper, with oaky spice notes well in the background. All this apparent richness is toned-down in the mouth, as the citric notes are amplified from mid-palate through the finish. Certain to be much more satisfying in another year or three, it wants service with sauced fish or fowl at this point. 525 cases produced.

The 2018 Chardonnay is positively brilliant. Lemon peel, white flowers, mint and white pepper give the 2018 a whole range of very pretty top notes. In 2018, the O'Shaughnessy Chardonnay offers a striking interplay of energy and texture that is just mesmerizing. Two thousand eighteen is one of the best vintages of this Chardonnay I can remember tasting. Antonio Galloni
