This is a flashy and forthcoming Chardonnay that opens with aromas of Meyer lemon tart, baked green apple, apple core and gradually layers-in emerging suggestions of white peach, orange zest, hazelnut and chalk. This generous fruit mix still seems a bit youthfully coiled on the palate, where it is perhaps even more concentrated, delivering flavors of lemon cream, grapefruit, sweet fresh apple, baked apple, quince, white peach, vanilla wafer and a slate-like mineral undercurrent. The balance is exquisite and notably food-worthy and the lingering finish is stony dry. It will likely improve for another two years. 175 cases produced
