Montagne Russe 2018 Pinot Noir Terra Del Promisio
2018 Montagne Russe Pinot Noir Terra de Promissio Vineyard Sonoma Coast
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 96+ Points
If savory dominant at opening, this wine rapidly transforms into a picture of elegance and expressive fruit. The nose is textbook Terra de Promissio, layering its pretty core of blood orange, blueberry and wild strawberry above fine edged counterpoints of sweet-savory spice. It is sleek and gently zesty on the palate, where polished grip, mineral undercurrents and bittersweet hazelnut husk notes couple to firm the texture and frame in the fruit. The finish is a lingering mix of blueberry and blood orange with counterpoints of baking spice, mace and cocoa nibs. Tasty now, it should grow in distinction and appeal over the next eighteen to thirty months. 95 Cases made.
