Miura creates a focused and elegantly rich showcase for Burt Williams’s vineyard here, as a bouquet of dark cherry, boysenberry galette, blood orange, blueberry, five spice, toffee, sandalwood and wild mushroom fans out. The wine proves both full-bodied and suave on the palate while fine underlying zest keeps all the fruit and spice notes on target. The finish is gorgeously supple and lingering while the flavors promised in the nose dominate to the end. A lovely dinner wine now, it should grow more so with more cellar time. 200 Cases made.
