This is a textbook Terraces Pinot. The nose is generous, well defined and expressive, as aromas of black raspberry, dark sweet cherry, grenadine, coriander seed, hazelnut nougat, sweet tobacco, toffee and dark rose fan out in fine harmony. On the palate it proves as bold in flavor and as bright as expected, although it is obviously young and is well endowed with polished tannins. The finish is long and fresh, with lots of fruit and emerging layers of savory spice. Delicious despite its youth, it is 2-4 years from much greater expression and may grow in dimension for a decade. 548 6-packs produced.
