Generous, ripe and forthcoming, the nose of this fine wine offers scents of pomegranate molasses, sour dark cherry, black raspberry, strawberry jam, dried black fig, black and pink peppercorn, roasted beet and hints of clove and black olive. On the palate, it proves darkly fruity, with a deep medley of fig tart, strawberry preserves, black raspberry and peppercorn that receives support from complementary flavors of mace, baking spice, licorice root, black olive and some chalky undercurrents. This rich combo lingers through a spicy finish where subtle tannic grip joins chalky minerality to bring a fuller sense dryness and create a hrmonious dinner balance. 222 cases produced.
