Appropriately zesty and well focused, this fine mountain Cabernet offers aromas of pomegranate, sour red cherry, cherry pit, hazelnut husk and dried herbs poised above a drying mineral undercurrent. It is youthfully bright and already quite flavorful, delivering both ample fruit and a balance of polished tannin in the mouth. The finish is ripe, food-balanced and super long, carrying it’s push of cherry, pomegranate, star anise, nutmeg, dried rosemary and mineral flavors to the very end. Medium-bodied and showing plenty of underlying grip, it will be even more attractive in another eighteen months and likely long beyond. 90 cases produced.
