This is both a textbook 2021 Cabernet - structured, deep, focused and age-worthy - and a classically muscular Atlas Peak rendition. The nose demonstrates muscular mountain concentration, which is etched with zest and dark minerality, in support of blackberry, violet and dark sour cherry fruit. It proves big, juicy, dry and minerally on the palate, with and a delightfully gripping mouthfeel. Finishing with the signature AP charcoal-graphite undercurrents and ample fruit, it is a notable bargain (perfect now for steaks and grilled meats) with likely another two years of growth ahead. 50 cases produced.
