Points Ripe, rich and intense, this is a fruity and richly-oaked Pinot with lots of character. The aromas are a slightly juicy mix of black cherry, dark boysenberry, dark rose, pink peppercorn, star anise, baking-spice, hazelnut husk and forest earth scents. It is full-bodied and fleshy on the palate, where red cherry, red raspberry, grenadine, pink pepper, pink rose, star anise and hazelnut flavors make a focused and lingering statement. A very worthy companion to a darkly caramelized roast right now, it should grow in appeal and versatility over the next eighteen to thirty months. 125 cases produced.
