Lucia 2018 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands
Lucia Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands 2018
NVWE Notes: This is clearly the greatest bottling we have ever seen from this well known vineyard. Rich, darkly ripe and forthcoming, the aromas are a luxurious perfume of dark boysenberry, sour dark cherry, red plum galette and sweet-pickled crab apple syrup poised above an equally notable mix of dried red rose, sumac berry, sweet dark tobacco and hazelnut husk. It proves as expressive yet even more harmonious on the palate, where bright zest, polished tannins, minerality and notes of toasted grain support fruit that, if more youthful, is even more concentrated. Long and juicy enough to sip, it promises at least five years of steady improvement. 430 cases made.
