This fine wine is seductively creamy and elegantly fruity to the nose, where sweet red plum, sour dark cherry, dark boysenberry, a hint of blood orange, vanilla, coffee toffee, baking-spice, mace, and tobacco leaf scents find harmony. It proves as elegant as hoped on the palate, showing wonderfully polished tannins, quiet zest and textural suppleness. The flavors are a lovely, genteel mélange of dark cherry, Cherry Bounce liqueur, blueberry, sweet red plum sauce, violet, pomegranate molasses, coriander seed, toffee, star anise and orange peel tea. Delicious and super-long , the flavors are already delightfully dinner-worthy. Expect another few years of improvement. 401 cases produced.
