The aromas of this fancy Chardonnay surprise with youthful brightness yet are beautifully evolved, so the scents of baked apple, pear tart, chestnut honey, marzipan, toasted nuts and lemon peel achieve a sweet-natured harmony. Mineral and terroir elements are more evident on the palate, where they firm the texture to gently reign in the opulence of long-lingering flavors that are otherwise a focused replica of the nose. The wine is absolutely delicious and seemingly ready to enjoy right now, although it demonstrates few signs of age thus far. 440 cases produced.
