This wine is forthcoming and sweet-natured to the nose, where blueberry compote, black raspberry, cedar, mace and sweet vanilla scents rise above suggestions of mocha and peppercorn. It seems appropriately dry on the palate, where notes of sandalwood, coriander seed and a hint of mocha harmonize with the dominant blueberry fruit to achieve an attractive, food-worthy balance. The finish carries that balanced medley through to the end, so the wine should prove a versatile dinner companion. A blend of 75% Cabernet Franc, 17% Petite Sirah and 8% Merlot.
