The 2021 Pouilly-Fuisse Chateau de Quarts 1er Cru Monopole was bottled a little later than other vintages. It has a bright, vivid nose with green apples, lemon rind, crushed rock and a slightly smoky scent. The palate is well balanced with a grippy entry. It’s concentrated and shows fine acidity, with a mineral, lightly spiced and persistent finish. Very cohesive and harmonious, yet I feel needs time in bottle to show what it can do.
