Youthfully dense yet clearly quite concentrated, the aromas of this impressive bottling are a somewhat juicy mix of black raspberry, pomegranate syrup, Cherry Bounce, violet, black tea leaf, clove, Kalamata olive and peppery bouillon. Raspberry and pomegranate dominate on the palate, where leather, black and pink peppercorn, clove, olive, graphite and dark mineral impressions are framed-in by youthful piquancy and a core of polished tannin. Although it will be tasty now with roast lamb leg, it has five more years of steady growth ahead. Co-fermented with 4% Viognier, 250 cases Produced.
