NVWE Notes: The focused aromas of this immediately engaging Meritage include suggestions of red currant, red plum, red cherry, violet, red rose, baking-spice and nougat, with dark mineral undercurrents. There is a fine strain of balancing tannin on the palate, where red cherry, red plum, currant, violet, sandalwood and spice-cake flavors create a racy harmony. Lingering and delightfully dinner-friendly, the finish delivers elegance and the promise of future depth. Deliciious now, it should improve for another eighteen months.
