This accomplished wine has effusive aromas of lush ripe plum and mulberry, with an edge of star anise and violets. There is an abundant richness here but enough acidity to balance and a firm tannic grip that carries the wine to a pleasantly lingering finish. This wine should open well in five years and drink well for another 20. It is produced from the domaine's organically farmed monopole that borders Les Didiers to the south. The grapes are mostly fermented as whole clusters before ageing for 15 months in cask, 50% new. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2040. Charles Curtis 22 Jun 2023
