Capturing Oakville’s distinctive personality, the nose of this bottling unveils focused scents of red currant jam, sour and sweet red cherry, tobacco and baking spice which rise above a deep undercurrent of firming minerality. It is youthful, slightly gripping, texturally lean, yet tongue coating on the palate, proving as focused and gutsy in the mouth as expected, while delivering deep and lingering red fruit, spice and mineral flavors that closely mirror the aromas. If a great companion to Prime Rib right now, it is at least two or three years from its full expression. 175 cases produced.
