Green-tinged pale yellow. Earthen framed aromas of green orchard fruit skins and citrus rind, lime blossom and roasted grains with sandy soil born underpinnings. Deeply textured yet tightly wound and delineated given its low pH nature. Expansive in its flavor profiles which are fully in concert with its bouquet, the leading aromas carry through to the finish. The definition of weight without being heavy. Lasting finish with impressive length, energy and spine.

The medium to full-bodied palate delivers beautiful freshness, with delicate citrus and stony flavors and an alluring satiny texture, finishing long and steely.

The 2021 Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard bristles with tons of energy and nuance. Crushed rocks, mint, flowers, lemon confit and hazelnut all race across the palate. More than anything else, I am drawn by the wine's remarkable energy and tension. There is a feeling of explosive, mineral-drenched drive that is palpable.
