This Cab is darkly ripe, with black raspberry, black cherry, cassis, clove, toasted cedar and hints of licorice root and other earthy spices all in evidence. Black cherry and licorice root take center stage on the palate, where tannic grip and fruit zest bring backbone and firm the mouthfeel. The finish lingers, with cherry, Campari and black raspberry flavors dominant at the end. A fine choice for steaks and fatty, caramelized meats right now, it wants three years to fully demonstrate everything it ultimately will offer. 1090 cases produced.
