Kerr 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

2018 Kerr Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

San Francisco Wine Panel Score 93 Points

The nose of this fine Cabernet unfolds bright scents of dark plum, dark cherry, black currant, cherry pit, star anise, canela and hazelnut nougat. There is a deep core of cherry, black currant and red plum on the palate, tied to sweet-savory flavors of tobacco leaf, hazelnut husk and a hint of forest-floor spice. The wine’s impression of polished richness is amplified in the lingering finish. Dinner-balanced for current enjoyment, it should grow richer and mellower over the next three years and beyond. 1200 6-packs produced. (This replaces Kerr’s “Curvature” bottling)

Wine Advocate

91 Points

The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley opens with wonderfully pure notions of ripe blueberries, cassis and fresh black cherries, plus hints of dried mint, pencil shavings and cinnamon stick. The medium to full-bodied palate is juicy and plush with just enough freshness and a fruity finish. 620 cases were made. Drink Date 2021 - 2032. Lisa Perrotti-Brown 18th Mar 2021
