2020 Keenan “Capstone” Red Table Wine, Spring Mountain

Deep, concentrated, balanced and focused, the aromas of this classy mountain Cabernet are a bright mix of sour red cherry, red currant jam, black raspberry, black currant, cherry pit, red rose, toasted cedar, star anise, graphite and mineral scents. Concentration and focus are hallmarks on the palate as well, where the wine is medium-rich in body, while the ideally ripe flavors of sour red cherry, red currant, black raspberry, red rose, licorice root, graphite and tobacco all ring out loud and clear. The finish is long and polished and it’s tannins seem nearly lost in the wash of flavor at the end. Delicious now, it is destined to be a knockout when fully mature and is likely to prove long-lived.  A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. 3500 cases produced.
