This is classic Katheryn Kennedy Cabernet: rich, ripe and mature, yet full of vibrant fruit, stony minerality, forest spice and Santa Cruz Mountain personality. In the nose, mulberry, black currant, blueberry and black fig fruit rises above intense minerality and fine zest to harmonize with a perfume of clove, cedar, baking spice, licorice root, leather, kalamata olive and sweet-natured forest floor scents. On the palate, it is rich in body, forthcoming, balanced, deep in fruit and spice and delivers everything the nose promises, along with a super long, harmonious finish where black fruits, fig, cinnamon, star anise and baking spice flavors rise prominently above the cutting-dry mineral undercurrent. At its peak, it gives pure pleasure. It seemed even more delicious to us as we sipped it again the next day, and the next. 500 cases produced.
