This terrific and immediately appealing Cabernet is bright and expressively fruit forward to the nose, where aromas of boysenberry, black raspberry and black currant achieve a classy harmony with supporting notes of cedar, laurel, licorice root, graphite, dark tobacco and toffee. These same flavors jump forth as vividly on the palate, where they dwarf the wines tannic backbone, yet hold fine focus through a lingering finish that stays fresh long after the bottle is opened. It will be even more impressive if allowed another three years of cellar-time. Blended with 7.68% Cabernet Franc, 5.54% Malbec and 5.17% Petite Verdot.
