This is a generous Chardonnay that opens with gently rich aromas suggestive of peach melba, baked apple, lemon curd and toasted meringue. The fruit elements seem both firmer and fresher than expected on the palate, while the oak barrel influences become more apparent. On the palate the flavors are dominated by lemon, white peach and fresh apple, with emerging hints of tropical fruit, while the whole is made richer by toast and baking spice contrasts. These elements find a lingering harmony in the finish, the balance of which suggest service with richly sauced entrees. 358 cases made.
