Rich and notably classy, the aromas of this stylish Chateauneuf du Pape fan out as a precise medley of strawberry jam, red cherry syrup, red rose, pink and white peppercorn, coriander seed and nougat. It is both lean in texture and juicy on the palate where a more coiled, gripping and mineral-laced presentation of the flavors suggested in the nose is evident. The finish, if initially tightly wrapped, is extremely long, and airing brings forth all that the aromas promise.
