As stylish as it is rich, the nose of this knockout Chardonnay layers baked green apple, white peach, golden mulberry, nutmeg, Meyer lemon, hazelnut meringue and vanilla wafer scents above a subtly mineral background. It is as bright as it is rich on the palate, where the focused aromas are impressively replicated, it proves suave and tongue-coating, and delightfully charming from the first sip through a long-lingering finish where suggestions of key lime and Marcona almond join the sweet-natured mix. The lasting memory is of peach, apple, golden mulberry and orange peel tea, steeped in elegant oaky spice. Gorgeous now, it will surely be even better in another eighteen to thirty months. 639 cases produced.
