2021 Hibou Chardonnay Napa Valley

The nose of this fine Chardonnay blushes with fruit and pretty spice accents as aromas of fresh pear and apple supported by notes of passion fruit and mango find harmony with others of nutmeg, hazelnut meringue and honey. It is texturally elegant yet palate-coating in the mouth and through a lingering, gently zesty finish that offers a gorgeous, richer mirroring of the nose. Quite delicious now, it should be better yet in six to eighteen months, and is built for food service. A blend of fruit from Rutherford and Carneros vineyards.
