Deep, complex and in all respects rich, the nose of this bold Cab layers lavish aromas of Cassis, dark sweet cherry, black raspberry, pomegranate syrup, toffee, sweet tobacco, toasted cedar, baking spice and star anise. It is as concentrated and dramatic as expected on the palate, where a deep core of dark red fruit and lots of spicy oak push through a lingering, flavor-packed finish that mostly suppresses a firm spine of tannin. Certainly flavorful enough to enjoy now, it is probably six years or so from its maturity. 100 cases produced, from a famous vineyard that cannot be revealed due to a non-disclosure agreement.
