Zesty fruit and iron-like mineral undercurrents firm up the aromas and texture of this focused, age-worthy Syrah. The nose offers a bright, sleek melange of grenadine, cranberry, red boysenberry syrup, lingonberry, Campari, pink peppercorn and coriander seed scents. Zesty sour red cherry, red raspberry, cherry pit and pomegranate flavors counterpoint iron-ore-like minerality on the palate to bring raciness to notably youthful flavors. The finish is firm, food-worthy and very long. Although this beauty will improve for the next three years, it should already be a fine match to many entrees now, especially grilled meats. 592 cases produced.
