Deep, complex and full of old-vine richness, the nose of this delicious Pinot Noir poises focused scents of sour red cherry, Asian plum sauce, dark boysenberry, red raspberry, coriander seed and tea leaf above firming minerality. It is forthcoming and just as deep on the palate where darkly savory terroir notes underpin flavors of sour red cherry, red licorice, strawberry jam, grenadine, red apple skin, cherry pit, coriander seed, star anise and black peppercorn. The finish lingers with lots of fruity and savory impact and this already delicious dinner wine should yet improve for another two years or more.
