NVWE Notes: In a surprisingly graceful, gently zesty rendering of Gap’s Crown fruit, this bottling fans-out aromas of blueberry, dark boysenberry, sweet dark plum, blood orange, sandalwood, baking-spice and star anise. Blueberry, boysenberry and purple plum flavors dominate in the mouth, with blood orange, sumac berry, star anise, mace, baking-spice and tobacco leaf adding a harmonious compliment. The finish is quite long and airing only adds to the impression of feminine style. That style should evolve nicely over the next two or three years. 214 cases produced.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Gap’s Crown Vineyard opens with cranberry sauce, baked rhubarb and pomegranate liqueur scents with notes of blood orange, laurel, dried herbs and earth.
