Clearly youthful, yet rich in fruit, this Cabernet offers aromas of black currant, black raspberry and dark cherry wed to savory notes of clove, cedar, vanilla a suggestion of dark tobacco. Although showing some tannin and seeming a bit zesty still in the mouth, it is supple and palate coating and if the fruit is initially a bit coiled it expands with airing to reveal generous notes of cherry, berry, vanilla and spice. The finish is both food-balanced and lingering so the wine should prove a fine companion to meats already. Expect another year or two of steady growth. 250 cases produced.
