Generous, yet elegant and refined from start to finish, this lovely Pinot offers a sweet-natured harmony of cranberry, lingonberry, red plum jelly, star anise, canela, and hazelnut nougat scents. It proves as concentrated as expected ion the palate, yet is surprisingly supple despite its rich body and comparative youth. The generous medley of red fruits, star anise, hazelnut and nutmeg builds as the wine airs and is dominant in the lingering finish, where the flavors easily dominate the tannins. Delicious as it is now, it may be eighteen months from its peak. The Pommard Clone grapes are sourced from a section of the Ashley’s Vineyard. 319 cases produced.
