Delivering the signature virtues of its appellation, this Cabernet is infectiously drinkable as soon as the cork is pulled. The aromas unfold as a perfume of plum preserve, blueberry compote, dark cherry galette, cedar, clove, star anise, sweet tobacco and dried herb scents. It is medium-bodied, has silky tannins and is slightly juicy on the palate, where lovely flavors of star anise, mace, baking-spice and sweet tobacco support a richer core of plum, blueberry and cherry. The finish is ultra-long and wonderfully satisfying already, although more depth will emerge should one chose to provide additional cellar-time. 328 cases produced.
