NVWE Notes: Richness and harmony greatly suppress the tannins in this beauty although it clearly displays classic Savoy celler-worthiness. The nose rolls-out aromas of Italian Maraschino cherry, Bing cherry galette, dark boysenberry, dark dry rose, dried orange peel, sandalwood, cocoa nibs, baking-spice, toffee and tobacco leaf. It is luxuriously fruity and generously oaky in the mouth, where boysenberry, dark sour cherry, Bing cherry, orange peel tea, baking-spice, cocoa nibs, toffee, tobacco and a hint of dried herbs create a wonderfully satisfying and lingering display. Absolutely delicious now, it will improve for three or four years at minimum and will give pleasure long after.  500 cases produced.
