This is a gorgeous Chardonnay by any standard. The aromas are bright, forthcoming and fruit dominated, as scents of baked green apple, golden fig, yellow peach, honey, nutmeg and baking spice rise above flinty mineral undercurrents. These same flavors surge-forth on the palate, where zest and minerality create a tension that projects the wines harmonious fruit and spice notes into the forefront. This finish is still a bit youthfully firm, yet it lingers beautifully. Expect another 12 months of steady evolution.
