True to the character of the grape and ever more expressive as it airs, this intense Cabernet Franc is destined to be special at maturity. Deep and already notably classy, the nose gradually layers scents of sour dark cherry and red currant jam above an emerging core of blueberry, fresh dark rose petal, clove, dried herbs, baking spice and nutmeg. On the palate it proves rich in body, polished and flavorful, with bright, racy fruit that impressively dominates the wines tannic underpinnings as the wine airs. The finish is truly and extremely long, and it layers-in a note of chocolate truffle at the end. This beauty should grow ever more lovely over the next thirty months and beyond.
