This is an impressively aromatic bottling and scents of raspberry coulis, sour red cherry, black raspberry, sarsaparilla, sumac berry, pink peppercorn and dark toffee fan out as soon as the cork is pulled. On the palate polished grip and a weighty, supple texture allow the wine’s vibrant zest and focused core flavors of raspberry, pomegranate and sarsaparilla to spring to the forefront. The finish is palate-coating, lingering and fruit forward, as its flavors of cherry cream sicle, raspberry coulis, wild strawberry, and pomegranate dominate its dark mineral undercurrents. If likely in need of another two or three years to fully reveal itself, it is a bit of hedonistic joy already. 234 cases made.
