Deep in color and well evolved, the bouquet of this gutsy Cabernet offers aromas of dark cherry galette, red currant jam, cedar, clove, sweet dark tobacco, milling spice and star anise. It is as rich and weighty on the palate as hoped, with firming tannins and amply body to carry its lingering flavors of dark red fruits and savory spices through a long lasting finish. It should prove a noble companion to grilled steaks and the like. A blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot and 2% Malbec. 202 cases produced.
