Plush and elegant, the nose of this well-evolved Chardonnay is a charming medley of sweet golden apple, peach, poached pear, quince, honey, vanilla wafer and preserved lemon scents. Honey, apple butter, peach, apricot, lemon cream pie, nutmeg and hazelnut nougat flavors roll out with a silky-creamy mouth-feel on the palate and linger through a stylish finish that is enlivened by pretty notes of citric zest. Ready to drink, it will prove a fine companion to richly sauced entrees. 305 cases produced.

This is the first vintage of a new bottling for Donum, from old vines in Russian River grafted over to Chardonnay. The 2017 Chardonnay Estate Russian River Valley is delicately scented of crème fraîche, lemon confit, wet stone and acacia with a core of honey-drizzled golden apples. Light to medium-bodied, it's minerally and saline to begin, segueing out to warm citrus, with wicked juicy acidity to lift and a long, textured finish. 280 cases produced. Drink Date 2019 - 2026.
