Elegant and well-evolved, the nose of this layered bottling offers rich, focused aromas of boysenberry, black raspberry, plum galette, cherry, toffee and baking spice along with hints of peppercorn and hazelnut. It is palate-coating and delightfully supple in the mouth, where cherry galette and strawberry cobbler flavors find an elegant harmony with others of hazelnut nougat, baking spice, canela, mocha and toffee. Already delicious, dinner-worthy and amazingly long, it has tannic underpinnings that suggest another few years of cellar-time may prove worth the wait. 150 cases produced.
