This is a focused, elegantly rich Cabernet, with aromas of red plum jam, dark cherry galette, pomegranate molasses, toffee, baking spice, hazelnut and star anise. In the mouth it proves tongue-coating, yet zest and some tannic grip are both notable on the palate, and these work as counterpoint to the wine’s fuller core flavors of red cherry, grenadine, toffee, cedar, tobacco and licorice root. Certainly tasty and lingering now, it should grow ever finer over the next two to three years. 160 cases produced.
