Extremely bright, piquantly fresh and deeply mineral, the aromas of this “Kabinet-style” Riesling center on white peach, lemon sorbet, pear, honeysuckle and slate. It is vibrantly fresh, fruity and strongly mineral and seems just off-dry on the palate despite having considerable residual sugar. The flavors are notably youthful and are suggestive of white peach, Gravenstein apple sauce, pear skin, lemon sorbet, mandarine and honeysuckle tied to sharp-edged slate-like minerality. The finish grows ever longer as the wine is exposed to air, and despite its current appeal, it should improve for several years. The alcohol is less than 8%.
