This is a surprisingly satisfying burgundy at a hard to believe price. The nose offers focused scents of baked apple, honey, preserved lemon and nougat poised above a gently flinty mineral undercurrent. Preserved lemon, baked apple, dried peach, honey, bees wax, nutmeg and hazelnut flavors counterpoint hard-edged minerality on the mid-palate and through an impressively long, food-worthy finish. Ready to enjoy, it should be terrific with sea food and shell fish dishes. 100% Chardonnay.
